The death of an Andhra Pradesh woman in a road accident in the United States has taken a new turn, with police reportedly examining a possible link to a major financial scam.
The deceased, identified as Prasanna, was the daughter of Atluri Vasantha Rao and Malliswari from Mulapadu village in NTR district.
She died in a road accident in the US, leaving her family in deep shock.
However, investigators are now reportedly looking into whether her death has any connection to an alleged Rs 1,400-crore fraud case.
According to reports, a person named Bhupal Naik and several others allegedly collected deposits from people in the name of a company called Sheikh Bazaar Kisan Parivar and cheated investors.
Prasanna’s name reportedly appeared in company-related documents, in which she had allegedly signed as a director.
Gujarat Police have already arrested Bhupal Naik and are continuing the investigation into the alleged scam.
Against this backdrop, Prasanna’s sudden death in the US has raised several questions.
However, no official conclusion has yet been reached linking the road accident to the financial fraud case.
Further investigation is expected to clarify whether the two incidents are connected or whether her death was purely accidental.
