Social activist and PURE service organisation founder Dr Shaila Talluri has made a sensational allegation against a minister in the Andhra Pradesh cabinet headed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of inappropriate behaviour.
In a series of social media posts, Talluri claimed that she possessed documentary evidence, including chat histories and screenshots, related to the alleged conduct of the unnamed minister. Without revealing his identity, she urged IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh to order an impartial inquiry.
She said she was prepared to share the evidence if the government was willing to conduct a transparent investigation.
“Lokesh garu, I have complete evidence regarding the inappropriate behaviour of one of the ministers in your cabinet. If you are interested in knowing the facts, contact me. A transparent inquiry should be conducted and appropriate action should be taken,” she wrote.
In subsequent posts, Talluri questioned why victims are often asked why they did not report such incidents earlier instead of being shown empathy.
She said she was now coming forward with the allegations and questioned what action the government had taken in similar cases.
She also alleged that the unnamed minister had repeatedly sent her inappropriate photographs and messages seeking appointments.
According to her, she initially chose to ignore the communications to avoid affecting the charitable work she was undertaking for underprivileged children in Andhra Pradesh.
Talluri further claimed that she possessed chat histories and screenshots, adding that the minister concerned would also have access to the same records. She urged the government to investigate whether others had faced similar conduct.
Her remarks have triggered widespread discussion on social media and in political circles. However, she has neither identified the minister concerned nor publicly released any documentary evidence to substantiate her allegations.
