Even as the YSR Congress Party has been alleging large-scale irregularities in land pooling in Amaravati, fresh allegations have emerged on social media platforms claiming that Telugu Desam Party leaders and their associates are purchasing large parcels of land in the capital region.
According to social media posts that have gone viral, senior actor and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna’s wife, Vasundhara Devi, has allegedly purchased a large extent of land in the Amaravati capital region.
The posts claim that Vasundhara purchased nearly 100 acres of land in Amaravati at a reported price of Rs 20 lakh per acre.
The purchases were reportedly made between March and May 2025 in Pamulapadu and Ravela villages of Tadikonda mandal in Guntur district.
Social media users are also sharing purported copies of 1B land records to support the allegations.
According to these claims, the lands were acquired in the name of a company called Classic Infotech, in which Vasundhara Devi is reportedly a partner.
The details are also said to be visible on the Andhra Pradesh government’s MeeBhoomi land records portal.
The claims being circulated state that land holdings under account number 5128 in Pamulapadu village and account number 5176 in Ravela village are linked to Vasundhara Devi in the Revenue Records.
The controversy has gained further traction amid reports that the Andhra Pradesh government is planning to establish an international airport in the Amaravati region.
Reports suggest that authorities are considering the Ravela area in Tadikonda mandal for the proposed Amaravati Greenfield International Airport project.
Opposition voices and social media users are now alleging that Balakrishna’s family may have purchased land in the proposed airport zone in advance.
The allegations have sparked a political debate online, though no official clarification has yet been issued by Balakrishna or his family members regarding the claims.
