The Kesineni family feud has now turned into a full-blown political street fight.
Former Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani and his younger brother, sitting Vijayawada MP Kesineni Chinni, are locked in an ugly public battle over family property issues.
What began as a domestic dispute has now spilled into the open, with both brothers trading serious allegations and even approaching the police against each other.
With the fight getting sharper by the day, Nani has gone on the offensive. He mocked Chinni as a “pittaladora” who is good at telling “pitta kathalu,” suggesting that the allegations being made against him are nothing but cooked-up stories.
Nani said that if Chinni really had evidence against him, he should not merely make public statements. Since Chinni is an MP, Nani said he should take his complaints directly to the Prime Minister, the Union home minister, the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate.
But Nani did not stop there.
He went on to level counter-allegations against Chinni, linking him to a land issue, a liquor scam and alleged pre-launch cheating in Hyderabad real estate projects.
These charges have now pushed the family feud into another level, with Chinni filing a defamation case against his elder brother.
The battle between the Kesineni brothers has become more than just a property dispute. With one being a former MP and the other a current MP, the political stakes are extremely high.
What was once a family quarrel is now playing out like a public war, with no signs of a quick truce.
