A TDP MLA from the erstwhile Krishna district has reportedly received a serious warning from Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu over his controversial behaviour and alleged activities.
The MLA has been in the news recently for making aggressive and controversial comments against political rivals.
According to party gossip, Chandrababu is said to have personally called him and given him a strong dressing-down.
The MLA is known for his rough style of politics and often speaks as if he is a local strongman. Sources say he is also unhappy that he was not given a ministerial berth.
During the time when the TDP was in the opposition, the MLA reportedly faced serious political attacks from the YSRCP. Since he survived those difficult days, he is said to feel that he deserved a cabinet post.
His frustration reportedly increased after Kolusu Parthasarathy, who came from the YSRCP, was given a ministerial position.
Against this backdrop, Chandrababu is said to have summoned the MLA for a private meeting.
According to highly placed sources, the Chief Minister reportedly placed before him details of complaints relating to alleged land dealings, threats and financial collections over the last two years.
The meeting is said to have lasted for nearly 40 minutes, with Chandrababu questioning the MLA over various allegations and warning him against going overboard.
Party sources claim that Chandrababu told him that the leadership was aware of his activities and advised him to behave responsibly and focus on party work.
He is also said to have warned the MLA that if he continued creating unnecessary controversies, the party leadership knew how to control him.
After receiving the warning, the MLA reportedly left the meeting without saying much.
Interestingly, soon after that, he once again started making aggressive comments against YSRCP leaders, creating curiosity within political circles.
When some TDP leaders tried to find out what had happened behind the scenes, they reportedly came to know about the Chief Minister’s warning.
The gossip has now become a hot topic in the Amaravati political circles, with party leaders closely watching what the MLA does next.
