Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who launched a new wing of the party called “Sena Galam” on May 31 to counter aggressive Kapu critics, has decided to turn it into a national campaign.
In a move aimed at promoting social harmony and a more responsible political culture, Pawan is planning to expand the “Sena Galam” initiative to the national capital, with a series of programmes scheduled between June 14 and 16.
The platform was personally launched by Pawan Kalyan as a forum designed to reflect the aspirations of younger generations, particularly Gen Z, while upholding constitutional values and encouraging constructive political engagement.
The party had earlier outlined the objectives and guiding principles of the Sena Galam committee.
According to Pawan Kalyan, the platform seeks to encourage constitutional politics, promote respect for all sections of society and safeguard national unity.
The Jana Sena chief has repeatedly argued that excessive political focus on caste, religion and regional identities has contributed to unnecessary social divisions.
Sena Galam, he said, would work to challenge such tendencies and promote issue-based political discourse.
Pawan Kalyan has also emphasised that political criticism should be addressed through facts and public-interest considerations rather than caste-based mobilisation.
He has argued that some political leaders attempt to shield themselves from accountability by invoking caste and religious identities, a trend that he believes is increasingly being rejected by younger voters.
As part of its next phase, Sena Galam will begin operations in New Delhi. Sources within the party say the initiative will host a series of meetings and discussions involving senior Jana Sena leaders.
The programmes are expected to focus on national outreach and expanding the party’s presence beyond Andhra Pradesh.
Party insiders also indicate that efforts may be initiated to attract new entrants and supporters at the national level.
Through Sena Galam, Jana Sena aims to bring its policies, ideology and governance perspectives into broader national discussions. Selected senior leaders have been asked to travel to Delhi to participate in the events.
Sources said Pawan Kalyan himself will attend the concluding session of the programme, address party leaders and provide strategic direction for future expansion.
The initiative is drawing attention as it marks the first time Jana Sena has undertaken such a structured political and ideological outreach programme in the national capital.
