When he walked away from the YSRCP, many leaders and supporters believed his exit was only temporary.
That perception was reflected in the party's response, as neither its leadership nor its social media ecosystem openly criticized him, expecting that he might eventually return.
However, the situation has changed dramatically in recent months.
Vijay Sai Reddy's repeated social media posts and remarks targeting Jagan Mohan Reddy have convinced many within the YSRCP that he has completely lost the party's trust.
Party circles now believe that the doors have effectively closed for him and that even if he wishes to return, there is little chance of being welcomed back.
Many YSRCP supporters also question why Jagan Mohan Reddy trusted him to the extent of nominating him twice to the Rajya Sabha.
