Vangaveeti Meets Pawan: What's Up?

The unexpected meeting between former MLA and Kapu leader Vangaveeti Radhakrishna and Jana Sena Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan at the latter’s camp office in Mangalagiri on Thursday has triggered political speculation.

The meeting was officially described as a courtesy interaction. The two leaders reportedly discussed current political developments and the upcoming local body elections in the state. Radha also appreciated the reforms being introduced in the departments handled by Pawan Kalyan.

The two share a long association and had earlier worked together in the Praja Rajyam Party. They also recalled developments connected to the 2024 election campaign in Vijayawada West.

The timing of the meeting has attracted attention because political parties are stepping up preparations for the forthcoming local body elections, including the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation polls.

This has led to speculation over whether Radha could play a role in Jana Sena’s strategy in Vijayawada. Some political circles are also discussing whether he could emerge as a contender for a key civic post, though there is no official confirmation on this.

Radha, who has been associated with the TDP in recent years, has largely stayed away from active politics for some time. His latest meeting with Pawan has therefore added to curiosity over his next political move.

For now, the meeting remains officially a friendly and political interaction focused on local body elections and current developments.

But with Vijayawada politics heating up ahead of the civic polls, all eyes are now on whether Vangaveeti Radha will take on a more active role and whether Jana Sena will have any part in it.
