Now, the situation appears to have taken a surprising turn in the TDP government.
Unlike the previous regime, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is said to be willing to meet MLAs. However, reports suggest that many MLAs themselves are reluctant to meet him.
Some are reportedly trying to stay away from the Chief Minister's attention, while others are delaying meetings or finding reasons to avoid them altogether.
The main reason, according to political circles, is fear. Several MLAs believe Chandrababu Naidu may question them over allegations of corruption, illegal activities, poor public image, and weak performance in their constituencies.
The party leadership is also closely monitoring the functioning of every MLA through regular surveys and feedback mechanisms.
Adding to the pressure, Chandrababu is reportedly reviewing the performance of MLAs frequently and warning those who are underperforming.
Internal party meetings have reportedly seen criticism of certain MLAs, increasing their discomfort.
According to political discussions, several complaints against MLAs have reached the party leadership.
In Kakinada district, allegations related to the sand mafia are reportedly under scrutiny in the constituencies of certain MLAs.
In Visakhapatnam district, there are claims that some MLAs are attempting to facilitate quarrying activities in hill areas.
There are also allegations of the involvement of a few MLAs in the civil supplies rice diversion scam.
In the Guntur region, complaints have reportedly been made about the illegal lifting of sand and mud.
For now, many TDP MLAs appear to be under pressure, with the leadership keeping a close watch on their every move.
