Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu today warned in the state Assembly that perpetrators of crimes against women would be dealt with severely.

Intervening during a discussion on the rape of a Dalit woman in Chittoor District recently, the Chief Minister said the government would invoke the Nirbhaya Act  to award ‘capital punishment’ to the culprits involved in such heinous crimes.

He would even suggest death by hanging to such culprits.

Mr.Naidu said woman DSPs would be posted in all districts to check crimes against women.

He announced Rs.five lakhs relief to the victim’s family.
