Rahul baba does it again. He is in news for all the wrong reasons. Prior to the elections, he was butt of jokes for his lack of speaking skills.
Now, in a rather unexpected incident, an aggressive Rahul Gandhi walked into the well of the House with other opposition members and accused the Speaker of being partisan.
Hailing from a family of speakers who could mesmerize the audience with their oratory skills, Rahul has surely been a disappointment to loyal Congressmen and to decades-old party voters. And if one were to do a quick poll of best Parliamentarians, it is a given that Sonia’s little boy will not make it to the list.
In the 10 years that he has been a Parliamentarian, one hardly got to listen to Rahul baba’s voice within the House. His much publicized speech came when he suggested a ‘game-changer’ idea at the peak of Anna Hazare-Arvind Kejriwal anti-corruption campaign. One is yet to figure out what game he intended to change or succeeded in changing.
Then, he surprised all when he tore up an ordinance overriding the Apex Court’s verdict on convicted law-makers. This act undermined the position held by then PM Manmohan Singh and led to the Congress and Rahul Gandhi being ridiculed by opposition parties during the election campaign for slamming their prime minister.
The final straw to his already tainted image came when he accepted the party’s defeat in Lok Sabha during the 2014 general elections with a smile, after the party was totally wiped out all over India. This led to the social media network being bombarded with jokes and comments about the Congress vice president.
After lying low for a brief period, Rahul has once again resurfaced with a bout of aggression which has surprised all and left his party thoroughly embarrassed once again. After the now widely reported act which has grabbed headlines in almost all national and local newspapers, the Congress spin doctors claim that India will get to see a more aggressive Rahul in the coming days.
If that happens, we see the Nehru-Gandhi heir apparent creating trouble for self in days to come.
