Senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led government over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and cancellation.
Sibal alleged that paper leaks have become a “trend” under the present administration and said the issue has badly affected the future of lakhs of students.
He demanded that all education ministers responsible for the examination process should immediately resign, taking moral responsibility for the failure.
Taking a strong dig at the BJP, Sibal said that when “illiterate people become chief ministers,” paper leaks are bound to happen.
His remark has triggered political heat, with the opposition using the NEET-UG controversy to question the government’s handling of national-level examinations.
Sibal said students and parents go through extreme pressure while preparing for competitive exams, and such leaks destroy their hard work and confidence in the system.
The NEET-UG 2026 controversy has once again brought the issue of exam transparency and accountability into national focus.
