Rahul Calls Budget Jaitley’s Laundry List

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has made an interesting comment regarding the budget tabled by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. 

He laughed saying that the budget was more like a laundry list wherein Jaitley had allocated Rs 100 crore for each item in the list. 

Rahul said that such a budget will not give a boost to the Indian economy and warned that it could actually slow down the growth process. 

On the other hand, Congress president Sonia Gandhi said that the budget was reminiscent of NDA government’s budget and that the Modi government could not come up with anything unique. 

Meanwhile, ex prime minister Manmohan Singh said that the budget lacked the direction or the vision that Modi had promised prior to the polls.

In all, it was Rahul Gandhi’s comment that made many take notice of his newly found subtle sense of humour.
