Telugu Association of Greater Boston (TAGB) in association with TANA organized a fundraising musical night, Swara Tarangini on November 1, 2014 at Littleton High School, Littleton, MA to support TANA’s Hudhud cyclone relief efforts in Andhra Pradesh state.

Swaratarangini, an entertainment filled high note musical event was attended by more than 1,000 supporters. The over booked event displays the strength and solidarity of the community coming together with TANA with a strong vision of rebuilding the lives of the victims of cyclone Hudhud.

Famous play back singer duo, Hemachandra and Sravana Bhargavi along with singers Vijaya Lakshmi and Parinika entertained the audience with a range of songs from various genres while Hema Chandra and Hero Naga Shaurya (fame of Chandamam Kathalu, Oohalu gusagusalade, Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya) kept the audience captivated with interactive and witty anchoring.

Mimickry Ramesh is a superb, mercurial stand-up comic with a staggering talent of verbal riffing. He treated the audience with his irrepressible sense of humour for three 15minute sections. He is an amazing vocalist whose situation pertinent “Punya Bhoomi Naadesam Namonamami song” stirred the emotional side of the audience. Mr. Mohan Nannapaneni felicitated Hero Naga Shaurya while various TAGB committee members felicitated all the visiting artists and sponsor Dr. Haribabu Muddana.

TANA President, Mohan Nannapaneni, took the privilege of presenting a documentary on TANA’s efforts in serving the community. His inspirational speech about TANA and its various outreach activities was mind blowing. Charity activities, restoration activities, saving thousands students from near deportation, free cataract eye surgery and cancer screen camps, free house building plans for flood and cyclone victims’ in Andhra Pradesh and various activities around the USA on numerous occasions were just a few examples of TANA’s endless endeavors.

He assured that the TANA team along with its members and innumerable volunteers will stretch above and beyond to serve the community. He urged people to come forward in great numbers to be part of TANA and take part in their efforts to serve the Telugu community.

TAGB President, Ram Gubbala and his team felicitated the show organizers Mohan Nannapaneni, Ravi Potluri and Rao Yalamanchili and extended a very warm appreciation to TANA for supporting and organizing this fund raising event across various cities in USA. The event netted more than $10,000, that will be donated through TANA.

The evening culminated with a thank you note by TAGB Secretary Chandra Talluri.  He thanked the major sponsors: Roshitech, Universal Software and Verdure Technologies, volunteers and audience for making this event a grand success by supporting this noble cause.
