The Bharatiya Janata Party has initiated efforts to resolve internal differences among its Telangana leaders as part of its strategy to strengthen the organisation ahead of the next Assembly elections.
In a significant development, BJP Telangana affairs in-charge Abhay Patil held a meeting with Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar and BJP MP Eatala Rajender, who had reportedly been at odds for some time.
The meeting was held at the residence of Rajya Sabha MP K. Laxman, where Patil is said to have facilitated a reconciliation between the two senior leaders.
He reportedly urged them to set aside their differences and work together towards the party’s goal of forming the government in Telangana.
Following the meeting, the BJP leaders told the media that there were no differences between them and expressed confidence that the party would come to power in the state in the next Assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters, Laxman launched a sharp attack on the ruling Congress government, alleging that it had failed to fulfil the promises made during the election campaign.
He claimed that public dissatisfaction with the government was growing and alleged that contractors were being driven to desperation due to pending payments and unresolved issues.
Laxman also credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with giving special attention to Telangana’s development and expressed confidence that the BJP would emerge victorious in the next Assembly elections in the state.
