Ponugoti Niranjan, a 17-year-old ardent fan of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, passed away on Tuesday, July 8.
Niranjan, popularly known as “Gabbar Singh” in Hanamkonda because of his deep admiration for Pawan Kalyan, had been battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) for the past three years.
A few days ago, Pawan Kalyan personally visited Niranjan’s home in Hanamkonda and spent time with him. He enquired about the teenager’s health and hobbies and also interacted with his family members.
Niranjan was the son of Ponugoti Ramu and Manasa, residents of Pegadapalli Dabbal in Hanamkonda, Greater Warangal.
His love for Pawan Kalyan earned him the nickname “Gabbar Singh”, after the actor’s blockbuster film.
Due to DMD, Niranjan had been bedridden for several years and suffered severe physical complications.
News of his death has left his family, friends and Pawan Kalyan fans deeply saddened.
Many fans and well-wishers took to social media to express condolences and pay emotional tributes to the young admirer.
