Young hero Sumanth Prabhas is all set to entertain with the rural love story and family drama Godari Gattupaina.

Directed by Subhash Chandra and produced under Red Puppet Productions, the film’s teaser, trailer, and songs have already received an excellent response.

The director praised Sumanth Prabhas for mastering the Godavari dialect for the role.

“The moment I narrated the story to Sumanth, he immediately connected with it. It felt like the perfect fit for him. He underwent extensive training for this character,” he said.

Subhash Chandra added that the film will resonate with audiences across all segments.

“This story is something we’ve all experienced in some form. Every home has a father and daughter, and that bond is filled with love. Similarly, there is the love shared between two youngsters. I’ve woven both these emotions into a triangular narrative that every viewer can relate to. The film will definitely connect with the audience.”

He also shared the real-life inspiration behind Jagapathi Babu’s character.

“Jagapathi Babu’s role is inspired by my own uncle. Even the bike he rides in the film belongs to him. Every father wants his daughter to be with someone better than himself- that desire stems from genuine love. In the same way, the boy’s love is also pure. We tried to capture that essence in the film. No matter how many generations pass, the emotion of love remains unchanged. We approached this story with a lot of maturity.”

Laila plays a pivotal role in the film.

“Laila’s combination with Jagapathi Babu brings a fresh dynamic. I needed someone with a dignified presence to stand opposite him. After nearly 20 years, Laila is returning to Telugu cinema with this film, and she plays a very important role.”

The director also expressed his desire to make a romantic horror thriller in the future.
